A New Chapter Unfolds

There are moments when an idea quietly follows you for years before you finally give it a name. Sincère was one of those ideas.

Long before it became a business, it existed as a collection of small passion projects: editing texts, designing visuals, studying brands, observing how stories are told through design, language, and atmosphere.

I have always been fascinated by the way ideas can be shaped. How scattered pieces of information can be organized into something that suddenly makes sense, something that feels coherent.

Creativity has never been only about aesthetics to me. It has always been about alignment. I notice beauty everywhere: in art, architecture, typography, photography, but also in people and their stories. The real joy has always been in bringing those elements together. Translating something intangible; an ambition, a vision, a personality; into something visible.

Branding, at its best, is exactly that.
Not decoration, but expression.

The Beginning

The first thoughts of building my own creative practice appeared in 2018.

At the time, it was only an idea in the background — something I kept returning to between other projects and work. I continued studying design, exploring digital tools, building concepts, and slowly shaping what this work could become.

Sincère formally began taking shape in 2024. I spent a significant amount of time thinking about what the practice should represent before building anything visible. I mapped out the services while reflecting on my ikigai process. The website itself was one of the last pieces to be completed.

In 2025, I finalized the services and introduced the first digital products. For a long time, my website still wasn’t fully finished, yet the work continued. Without extensive marketing, the practice simply began to grow. Clients arrived through recommendations, through networks, and through shared interests.

In many ways, that experience confirmed something I have always believed: thoughtful work has a way of finding the right people.

The Pause

While the work itself felt right, the direction surrounding it felt less certain.

When I launched my business, I didn’t realise how much outside noise was shaping the direction. None of it was necessarily wrong. But something in the way I was approaching the business no longer felt fully aligned either.

So I did something that is rarely recommended in modern business advice. I paused. I stopped posting regularly. I stepped away from the constant pressure to be visible. Instead, I focused entirely on the work itself and on listening more closely to my own intuition about where the practice should go.

What followed was an unexpected confirmation. Even without constant visibility, the right clients continued to appear. Projects arrived through recommendations, through conversations, and through people who resonated with the work itself.

That quiet period became an important turning point. It reminded me that alignment attracts more naturally than noise.

The Sincére Approach

Sincère operates very intentionally. I take on a limited number of projects each quarter.

This may sound unusual in a world where speed and volume are often rewarded, but Sincère was never meant to be built quickly. It was meant to be built intentionally. This approach feels the most aligned and enables the kind of thoughtful work I can truly stand behind.

Brand building requires attention, research, and curiosity. Each project is different. The industry, the audience, the ambitions, and the story behind the brand always shape the direction. One solution cannot simply be repeated for another client.

This approach is also one of the reasons my work is valued by clients. They know that time is taken to understand the person or organisation behind the brand, and that their essence can be translated into a presence that reflects who they truly are.

While there is a recognizable aesthetic language in my work; a preference for clarity, elegance, and thoughtful composition; the strategy and creative direction are always built around the individual case. This process takes time, but it allows the final result to genuinely reflect the person or organization behind the brand.

The Next Chapter

Today, Sincère is entering a new chapter.

As the work has grown, I have gained a clearer understanding of what my clients truly nee; not only visually, but strategically. This insight has shaped the way the services are structured today.

At the same time, I have also returned to something more personal. Although I live in Finland, my own story has always extended beyond borders. I was born in the United States, raised between cultures, and have always felt most at home in international environments. For a long time, however, my work remained largely confined to one language and one market. That never fully reflected who I am.

This next phase of Sincère embraces that broader perspective. The practice is gradually opening toward a more international audience, working in multiple languages and connecting with founders whose work resonates with aesthetics, authenticity, and thoughtful brand building. Sincère is evolving into a globally minded creative consultancy built on authenticity, clarity, and story.

As Sincére evolves, so will the ideas surrounding it. Some will take the form of new creative tools and digital products. Others will explore editorial writing, brand thinking, and the intersection between culture, design, and business. This publication is part of that exploration a place to reflect on branding, creativity, and the quieter strategies behind meaningful work.

Sincère envisions a future where brands are built on truth rather than trends, where visual identity supports both business growth and brand expression, and where creativity is approached with presence, care, and intention.
